Reading the antics of his family reminded me of sitting in my grandmother’s back yard listening to adults talk and whisper and laugh about things and people we children weren’t to supposed hear about. Reading about his experience with the wringer washer brought back memories of when my own arm got caught in the dreaded contraption—several times!
If you grew up in the 50s or early 60s in the South, this will seem like the story of your own family. If you grew up later, you will see how it really was for your parents or your grandparents. If you grew in the Nawth, read it anyway! You’re going to laugh, I promise you, bless your heart!

This book was a non stop laugh. I am from the south and found the entire book to be filled with wonderful humor. My husband isn't from the south and he enjoyed it just as much. We were riding in the car and I started reading from the book, we were both laughing and having a great time. I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a good laugh, fast and fun reading. I would buy other books by this author.Product details

The author tells you that he is not a writer...and he is right. This just wasn't that funny to me. Maybe you had to be there in the situation.
